RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON A LOCAL LAW
AMENDING AND RE-CODIFYING SECTIONS 450-60, 450-61, 45062, 450-63 AND 450-64 REGARDING NONCONFORMING
BUILDINGS, LOTS &amp; USES
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow that
a public hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. or as soon as such
hearing may be called thereafter, at the Sleepy Hollow Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue,
Sleepy Hollow, New York, 10591, on the proposed Local Law entitled “A LOCAL LAW
AMENDING AND RE-CODIFYING SECTIONS 450-60, 450-61, 450-62, 450-63
AND 450-64 REGARDING NONCONFORMING BUILDINGS, LOTS &amp; USES;” and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Clerk shall give due notice of this
public hearing in accordance with the Village Code and the provisions of the Municipal
Home Rule Law of the State of New York.

A LOCAL LAW AMENDING AND RE-CODIFYING SECTIONS 450-60,
450-61, 450-62, 450-63 AND 450-64 REGARDING NONCONFORMING
BUILDINGS, LOTS &amp; USES
BE IT ENACTED by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow, New York,
as follows:
Section 1.

Section 450-60 of the Code of the Village Sleepy Hollow entitled

“Continuation” is hereby repealed and replaced in its entirety as annexed hereto.
Section 2.

Section 450-61 of the Code of the Village Sleepy Hollow entitled “Repair

or reconstruction” is hereby repealed and replaced in its entirety as annexed hereto.
Section 3.

Section 450-62 of the Code of the Village Sleepy Hollow entitled

“Alteration or extension” is hereby repealed and replaced in its entirety as annexed hereto.
Section 4.

Section 450-63 of the Code of the Village Sleepy Hollow entitled

“Construction under permit granted prior to passage” is hereby repealed and replaced in its entirety
as annexed hereto.
Section 5.

Section 450-64 of the Code of the Village Sleepy Hollow entitled “Changes

in or discontinuance of use” is hereby repealed and replaced in its entirety as annexed hereto.
Section 6.

The invalidity of any word, section, clause, paragraph sentence, part, or

provision of this local law shall not affect the validity of any part of this local law which can be
given effect without such invalid part or parts.
Section 7.
the Secretary of State.

This Local Law shall take effect immediately upon filing in the Office of

for a Public Hearing on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at 7:00 pm or soon thereafter, in Village
Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York, to hear and consider comments
from members of the public on the proposed Local Law entitled: “A LOCAL LAW
AMENDING AND RE-CODIFYING SECTIONS 450-60, 450-61, 450-62, 450-63
AND 450-64 REGARDING NONCONFORMING BUILDINGS, LOTS &amp; USES;”
All persons are entitled to attend and be heard at said hearing. Village Hall is accessible

BE IT RESOLVED, the Board of Trustees hereby adopts Local Law ## of 2024 in the
form attached amending sections 450-60, 450-61, 450-62, 450-63 AND 450-64 of the
