PRESENT Philip E. Zegarelli, Mayor Vincent Buonanno William McBride Joseph D. Lofaro James J. Timmings Emmanuel Lobato, Trustees Robert J. Ponzini, Counsel ABSENT Stephen Maceyak, Trustee Mayor Zegarelli called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. and announced that the only order of business would be the consideration of a new fire apparatus for Rescue Hose Co. #1. Trustee Lofaro moved seconded by Trustee Lobato that the apparatus proposal of Tyler Fire Equipment for one new Pierce 1500 gallon pumper be approved at a bid price of $162,566 less $5,000 trade in for the used Mack apparatus. On the discussion a letter from the Fire Company (attached) recommending purchase of the Pierce apparatus was introduced. On the motion Trustees Buonanno, McBride, Lofaro and Lobato voted yes. Trustee Timmings and Mayor Zegarelli voted no. Motion carried. Trustee Lofaro moved, seconded by Trustee Lobato that bid part II for equipment to be installed on the new apparatus be awarded to AAA Company of White Plains, N.Y. in the amount of $19,435.75. Carried unanimously. Trustee Lofaro moved, seconded by Trustee Lobato that bid bonds be returned to unsuccessful bidders. Carried unanimously. The Board was reminded that the bid had been accepted prior to the time limit of the permissive referendum. Motion to adjourn by Trustee Lobato seconded by Trustee Buonanno. Carried.
