Ponzini, Counsel it r i w Absent Stephen Maceyak William McBride, Trustees • l ; Mayor Zegarelli called the meeting to order at 9:00 P.M. and reminded the Trustees that the special meeting had been scheduled during the public meeting of December 12, 1983. '*! < Mr '••' 1 1 The first item of business was to discuss the award of a contract to J. C. Perri voted on October 24, 1983 for sewer and catch basin work. The concern was the acceptance of the sole bid and the lack of minority participation as it would impact the County Grant. John Biros addressed the Board on the planning, coordination and evaluation used for this program as well as later meetings with the County. i After discussion, Mayor Zegarelli moved, seconded by Trustee Lobato to rescind the previous motion to award the contract for sewer and catch basin work. The Board will rebid this project using the same specifications. Bids returnable at the meeting of January 23, 1984. The Clerk is to notify J. C. Perry and the County of this action. Carried. ! »1 The Mayor announced that planning proposals had been received from Fred Clark Associates, as well as, Raymond, Parish, Pine and Weiner. The information in the two proposals will be transmitted in a confidential' manner to the Board. Trustee Buonanno moved, seconded by Trustee Lofaro that the salary of H. Shubrick, Foreman Sanitation and Manuel Cappello, Foreman Water be adjusted by 7%% retroactive to June 1, 1982 as granted other professional employees. This will make salaries at a rate equivalent to an annual salary of $21,094 for Cappello and $19,780 for Shubrick. Funds for June 1, 1982-May 31, 1983 to come from accruals in General and Water & Sewer Funds. Funds for June 1, 1983 will be taken from Contingency as required. Carried. Trustee Mayor notify to the Board Fire Chief's Buonanno moved, seconded by Trustee Timmings that the the Board of Fire Wardens that they have not responded of Trustees' request to furnish rules for the use of cars.
