A special meeting was held before the Board of Trustees of the
Village of North Tarrytown on the above date.
Present

Mayor Zegarelli called the meeting to order at 8:00 P.M. and
stated that the purpose of the meeting was to appoint a Deputy Village
Clerk, Assist. Court Clerk and to make salary adjustments.
Mayor Zegarelli appointed Shirley Marmo, Deputy Village Clerk
at a salary of $26,000 per annum, effective January 5, 1987.
Trustee Timmings moved, seconded by Trustee Ceconi that action
of the Mayor be confirmed.
Carried.
Mayor Zegarelli appointed Linda Fukuchi, Assistant Court Clerk
(Spanish Speaking) at a salary of $17,500 on provisional basis,and
canvassing of the Civil Service list, effective January 5, 1987.
Trustee Timmings moved to confirm the Mayor's appointment,
seconded by Trustee Ceconi. Carried.
Mayor Zegarelli stated that the present Assistant Court Clerk
has accepted another position and is resigning.
Mayor Zegarelli read a letter of resignation from Shirley
Canfield, resigning her position of Int. Account Clerk, effective
December 31, 1986, to accept another position in the Town of North
Castle.
Trustee Timmings moved that Mrs. Canfield1s resignation be
accepted with regret, seconded by Trustee Salman.
Carried.
Trustee Ceconi moved that the Administrator be authorized to
place an ad in the paper for Treasurer, seconded by Trustee Timmings.
Carried.
Mayor Zegarelli moved that the Chief of Police' salary be
adjusted in the form of a bonus in the amount of $3000, payable by
the end of this calendar year--a one time bonus, seconded by Trustee
Williams.
Mayor Zegarelli stated that this is the time involved during the
disturbance on June 29th and the prison breakout from Sing Sing.
Motion carried.

�-2Mayor Zegarelli moved that a 6% increase be given to the base
salaries of Elsie Moten, Shirley Canfield, Manuel Cappello and Hercules
Shubrick, payable at the end of the calendar year, seconded by
Trustee Timmings.
Trustee Timmings moved that the Administrator and Chairman of
Administration and Finance establish a measurement criteria outline
and base future professional salary adjustments by merit, rather than
percentage, seconded by Trustee Ceconi.
Mayor Zegarelli amended the motion that this same memo be included
in their end of calendar year check. Since the non-union employees are
also the beneficiaries of the provisions of existing union contracts,
this would expand our policy.
On the motion for salary increases, Mayor Zegarelli polled the
Board as follows:

Motion carried.
No other business to come before the meeting, Trustee Timmings
moved to adjourn, seconded by Trustee Ceconi. Carried.
