The Assessor and the Board of Trustees of the Village of North
Tarrytown, N.Y. met in joint session from 4 - 8 P.M. on the above date
for the purpose of hearing complaints and grievances against assessments.

-2Trustee Galgano moved that the Mayor be authorized to
send a letter of thanks to Mr &amp; Mrs. Atkins for decorating
the grave of Andre Carnegie on their own time, seconded by
Trustee Ceconi. Carried.
Mayor Zegarelli stated that we had problems of newspapers
being thrown in the storm sewers, expecially in Webber Park.
So far sewers have been cleaned. Trustee Galgano suggested
that a letter be sent to the newspaper asking them to advise
the carriers of the newspaper problem.
Mayor Zegarelli stated that a budgeting item be included,
possibly through American Cable System, the Village, could
purchase their own modulater, so that the programing done here
could be done alive. One could be bought at cost, he said,
and would like this to be included in the Budget. There is
money left over in his budgetiwhich he would like to see
utilized for the modular, on behalf of the Village, he said.
Mayor Zegarelli stated that he received calls as per an
article in the newspaper, that garbage collection was being
discontinued. He stated this was not so, this is an erroneous
untruth.
Mayor Zegarelli stated that on February 25, 1987 He will
sign the Warner Library Contract between Tarrytown and North
Tarrytown for four years.
Mayor Zegarelli stated that a vacancy exists on the
Parking Authority and that he is appointing Timothy Coon to
serve the unexpired term of Charles Mack. Trustee Timmings
moved, the Mayors appointment, seconded by Trustee Ceconi,
Carried.
REPORT OF COMMITTEE
Management &amp; Budget:
Trustee Timmings, reported progress.
Public Safety &amp; Light:
Trustee Williams moved that Sgt. Patten be granted
permission to attend a seminar on Homicide Investigation
being held on March 4-5-6th at Westchester County Police in
Valhalla, cost $120.00. No overtime involved, seconded by
Trustee Galgano. Carried.
Trustee Williams moved that Sgt. Hayward be granted
permission to the Dispatcher Training Seminar in Scarsdale
on March 13, 1987, cost $99.00, seconded by Trustee Salman
Carried.

�-3Trustee Williams stated that during the course of
campaigning, residents have asked for the Village to look
into street lighting, Administrator commented that Con Edison
is looking into the matter and a report is being prepared by
Con Edison which is due in a couple of weeks.
Fire:
Trustee Williams reported that the completion of painting
of Union Hose Headquarters. Central and Rescue Hose painting
will begin. Pocantico Hook &amp; Ladder was authorized monies
from the Board to fix up their back room.
Trustee Williams stated that the trophies f° r Hudson
VAlley Firemen Volunteer Assoc. Parade are displayed in the
North Tarrytown, Post Office, The parade is to be held in
June.
Public Works;
Trustee Salman moved, that James Manca, 11 Howard St.,
North Tarrytown be appointed Sanitation Man at a salary of
$19,937.70 ($22,153 minus 10%) pursuant to sec. 2, Article
IV, subject to six months probation, effective February 25,
1987, seconded by Trustee Ceconi, Carried.
Trustee Mangieri stated that there will be a meeting
of the Parking Authority tonight. Positive progress on the
Beekman Ave., Parking Lot in the Administrator's Report
tonight.
Recreation &amp; Human Resources:
Trustee Galgano, reported progress.
Administration:
Trustee Ceconi offered the following resolution,
WHEREAS Almighty God has seen fit to take unto Himself the
soul of the late Vincent Cannillo, Sr. and
WHEREAS the said Vincent Cannillo, Sr., was the Father of
Angela Everett, Int. Acct. Clerk and a resident of the Village
for many years, having been held in the highest esteem by all
those who knew him, now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that this resolution be made a part of the official
minutes of this meeting and a copy sent to the family of the
deceased. Carried unanimously.

The Clerk informed the Board that the Treasurer had filed her
report of unpaid taxes for the year 1986 as of January 31, 1987
Totaling $72,691.03 and in connection therewith, the following
resolution was offered by Trustee Ceconi, seconded by Trustee
Timmings and adopted:
