Nay 25, 1990 at 5:00 PM.

Absent:

Mayor Gandolfo
Trustee Treacy
Trustee Alter
Trustee Cicchetti
Trustee Rey
Trustee Hyland
Trustee Marren

Also Present: William T. Regan, Village Administrator
Mayor Gandolfo called this special meeting for the Board to
discuss whether or not to reduce the 1990-91 tax rate as a result
of a reduction in the amount the Village would have to pay into
the state pension system.
William Regan, Village Administrator, commented that he spoke to
Senator Spano's office. The net effect of reduction in state aid
and the amount to be paid into the pension fund would amount to
approximately $104,000., but his office could not confirm this.
The Administrator stated that even if we get the reduction in
expenditure to the pension fund this year, it could be raised
next year.
Since the Board could not receive confirmation on the amount from
the state and they felt it would not really be a significant
savings, the Board voted unanimously to make no change in the tax
rate this year.
Mayor Gandolfo stated if the money does come through, the Board
will invest this amount and apply it towards next year's tax
rate.
There being no further business, Mayor Gandolfo adjourned the
meeting.
Respectfully submitted,

Angela L. Everett
Deputy Village Clerk
