A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of
North Tarrytown was held on April 29, 1996 at 8:00 PM in Village
Hall for the purpose of adopting the budget for 1996-1997 fiscal
year.

Trustee Hayes
Trustee Ramsey
Trustee Sweet

Also Present:

Linda David, Village Administrator

Mayor Treacy stated there is a tax rate increase this year.
Homestead taxes will go up to 5.79% and Non-Homestead by 6.87%.
It was a difficult decision to raise taxes, but it was necessary.
There were a number of changes on the capital budget, certain
pieces of equipment were eliminated. The Mayor made a comparison
of the proposed budget and the budget to be adopted.
The Village Attorney retainer agreement was voted on and approved
5-1-1.
Trustee Sweet abstained and Trustee DiFelice voted
against Don Walsh but voted for Janet Gandolfo, Esq.

Being that there was no further business, a motion was made by
Trustee Alter to close the meeting, seconded by Trustee Ramsey.

Be It Resolved that the 1996-1997 Budget concerning the General
Fund be adopted in the amount of $6,232,337. Said adoption being
pursuant to the Provisions of Chapter 809 of the Laws of 1954 and
the Budget Manuals for Villages and the Uniform System of
Accounts as set forth in the Manuals issued by the Division of
Municipal Affairs, Albany, New York.

Buttonwood Avenue, Cortlandt Manor, New York 10566 within state
requirements.
