Present: Mayor Sean Treacy Morris Alter Mario DiFelice Jose Chevere Trustees Also Present: Linda £. David, Village Administrator Absent: Trustee Ramsey Trustee Stever Janet Gandolfo, Village Attorney Mayor Treacy called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag. Andrew O'Rourke has notified us that the $150,000.00 in CDBG monies has been reserved for our village. Trustee's Reports Trustee Ramsey reported that she will be meeting tomorrow with an independent expert to evaluate the old fire truck at no cost to the village. Trustee Chevere commented that he has a copy of an old program from 1947 when the Tarrytowns were model communities of the United Nations. He would like to add some kind of celebration in honor of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations in conjunction with our fall street festival. He asked that if anyone is interested in helping to organize this celebration to call village hall and he will get back to them. Trustee DiFelice had no report. Trustee Alter read the attached public works report. Trustee Alter reported that the recreation department is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at HAM at Douglas Park. The recreation brochure should be mailed out next week. He gave an update on several activities listed in the brochure such as tot camp registration on April 12th at 9 AM , summer fun day camp registration on May 21s1 at 7 PM, also additional camp coverage will be held this year from 1-3 PM, a lacrosse clinic on April 9th and 10th at Sleepy Hollow High School, trout fishing derby on April 19th at Douglas Park and a new season of line dancing starts on April Ist. Wolfpack is looking for cheerleaders. The Mt. Pleasant pool is open to residents of Sleepy Hollow. Administrator's Report Linda David read the agendas for the Architectural Review Board which will meet on March 26th at 8 PM, the Zoning Board on April 16th and the Planning Board on April 17,h. She reported that General Motors has advised the village that drill rigs will be set up for additional drilling which will be taking place during the next couple of weeks. Communications, Petitions and Requests Mayor Treacy read a letter of resignation from the Ethics Board from Fred Mauhs. The Mayor accepted his resignation with regrets. �v\ The Mayor read correspondence from the Sleepy Hollow Fire Department requesting permission to hold their fifth annual parade on June 28th at 5 PM and to hold their third carnival starting on June 25th through June 28th. (To be discussed at the next work session) A letter from the Citizens' Committee for Community Television was read regarding municipalities cable options for public access channels. (Discuss at next work session) Public Comments Trustee Ramsey moved, second by Trustee Chevere to open the public comment section, carried. i Sunny McLean suggested that our village and surrounding villages consider forming a joint cable committee at the time of renewal of franchise agreement to oversee new cable systems, etc. (Will be discussed at the next work session) There being no further comments, Trustee Alter moved, second by Trustee Ramsey to close the public comment section, carried. Trustee Chevere moved, second by Trustee Ramsey to adjourn to executive session to discuss a litigation matter, carried. Executive Session Discussion ensued on the litigation matter regarding water bills owed by the Van Tassel apartments. Trustee Alter moved, second by Trustee Chevere to accept the settlement that was negotiated in court earlier this week, motion carried 5-0.
