A Worksession was held on Tuesday, July 8,1997 at 8:00 PM in Village Hall, 28
Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.

Executive Session- 7:00 PM
Discussion ensued on several personnel items in the Public Works Department and
on public safety issues but no formal action was taken. Agreement was reached to
post several DPW promotional positions.
The Board authorized Gallagher Bassett to offer a settlement on the Pearlman
matter.
The regular portion of the worksession was called to order at 8:20 PM.
Several items were discussed.
A resolution of the Board was passed to auction the vehicle that was seized by the
police department. The Board also approved allowing Immaculate Conception
Church to hold their annual bazaar in August; all trustees were in favor, Trustee
DiFelice abstained. The Board agreed to proceed with the IMA agreement for
Organic Waste with the County.
The Board approved the Sleepy Hollow Bowman's request to use our archery range.

The Zip Code Committee requested final comments before the Tarry town
Postmaster is contacted.
Discussion ensued on the parking situation on Cortlandt/Vnlley Streets.
A public hearing will be held in August.
Discussion on Fremont Pond was postponed until August 5(&gt;l worksession when we
could invite the Sleepy Hollow Manor Taxpayers Association.

�Warrants
Trustee Collins moved, second by Trustee Alter to approve the warrants of the
General fund for a total of $ 277,774.17 and authorize the treasurer to pay the bills;
motion carried; Trustee Munroe moved, second by Trustee Ramsey to approve the
warrant of the Water &amp; Sewer fund and authorize the treasurer to pay the bills for
a total of $72,844.66, motion carried; Trustee Collins moved, second by Trustee
Chcvcre to approve the warrant of the Capital fund and authorize the treasurer to
pay the bills for a total of $13,594.67, motion carried.

appointment of Mary Ellen Howard, to the position of Court Clerk effective July

a joint project for the Villages of Sleepy Hollow and T a r r y t o w n .

Village Administrator and Mayor effective August 4 , 1 9 9 7 , at an annual salary of

�$30,000. Said position is probationary for a period of six (6) months. And may
be extended for an additional twelve (12) months.

The Board of Trustees does hereby authorize the Village Administrator to hold an
auction in the near future to sell the 1993 Chevrolet Suburban recently awarded to
the Sleepy Hollow Police Department by a judgment by Judicial Hearing Officer, V.
Gurihan. The vehicle will be available for viewing beforehand and the "upset" price
will be set by the Administrator at the blue book value.
