Present: Mayor Sean Treacy(Arrived late) Patrick J. Munroe Mario DiFelice Craig A. Laub Donald Stever Michael Collins Trustees Absent: Trustee Morris Alter Also Present: Janet Gandolfo, Village Attorney Trustee Munroe commented since the Deputy Mayor would not be here tonight he would start the meeting until the Mayor arrived. Trustee Munroe called the meeting to order with a pledge to the flag. Sanjay Shah, Village Treasurer, gave a brief overview of the proposed budget. He commented that we are hoping that the village will be receiving state aid which will help in keeping our takes down. He also commented that we have already taken measures to help keep the tax rate down. Public Comments James Galgano of Gory Brook Road made comments regading the GM PILOT payments. Chick Galella of Depeyster Street had questions regarding tax sales, projected revenues and transfer from the water fund. Mr. Shah commented that the village owns the tax liens if no one buys them. Last year someone purchased these liens. As far as the revenue lines, it is difficult to estimate how much we will be receiving. Transferring funds from the water fund has been taking place for many years. Eileen Meade of Gordon Avenue asked if the village could hire someone to run the di.y camp this summer. The Mayor stated that the Recreation Superintendent had already added money in his budget for this position. Frank Rey of Holland Avenue commented on town and village taxes. Mr. Shah commented that village taxes are only a small portion of the whole pie, whereas school taxes are the largest percentage of the pie. 1 �Mayor Treacy stated that by the village switching health insurance and the Teamster union and non-union employees agreeing to no pay increase for two years, the village has saved a lot of money which helped in keeping our tax increase lower than anticipated. We are hoping that the PBA will agree to the same. Mario Belanich of North Washington Street also commented on the transfer of . funds from the water fund. Mayor Treacy commented that the Treasurer had already explained this. There being no further comments, Trustee Collins moved, seconded by Trustee Munroe to adjourn the meeting, motion carried.
