A Worksession of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on
Monday, August 10,1998 at 8 PM in Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy
Hollow, New York.

hereby nominated to the position of Police Officer Grade V. at an annual salary
of $85,969.56 effective August 10.1998. Said candidate has successfully passed
the physical and psychological examinations required for the position. This
nomination Is made from Eligible List. No. 60-539 Certification No. P9847 for a
probationary period to extend for 18 months from the effective date of this
appointment.

Whereas, the Village of Sleepy Hollow has advertised for and accepted bids for
the purchase of a street sweeper; and
Whereas, there are two companies which submitted bids; and
Whereas, both companies have agreed to provide the Village with a loaner until
delivery of the street sweeper;
Now. therefore, be It resolved that the Board of Trustees hereby authorizes the
purchase of a street sweeper from Empire Equipment Sales Company, Inc.. 34-09
196th Street, Flushing. NY 11368, for the amount of $81,936.00, on the condition
that the company delivers to the Village on or before August 19,1998 a loaner to
be used by the Village until delivery of the street sweeper. Said loaner Is to be
In good operating condition during Its use by the Village, and there shall be a
sweeper provided on all days the Village of Sleepy Hollow schedules sweeping.
Note: This company was low bidder.

consider comments regarding the creation of a Loading Zone from 7:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m. dally at 144 Cortlandt Street.
