PRESENT: Frank Arvan, Chairman Lou Falasca Robert Barstow Elena Malunis Also present: Absent: James Margotta, Bldg. Inspector John Hughes, Village Attorney Annegret Rice A motion to approve the minutes from the last two meetings was made by Frank Arvan, and seconded by Elena Malunis. Motion passed unamiously. IN THE MATTER OF FREYLER REALTY, 2 32 N. WASHINGTON ST.. NORTH TARRYTOWN. N. Y. Mr. Freyler was not present, matter tabled till next meeting. IN THE MATTER OF THE FAMILY RESTAURANT. 276 NO. BROADWAY. NORTH TARRYTOWN. N. Y. This was a continuation of a hearing from last month. Mr Donal Walsh, Esq., represented the owners. He presented the board with color swatches and fabrics along with a drawing showing the size of the new planned canopy around the restaurant. The owners had decided upon a fire retardant gray fabric, with a burgundy border, (Gulfstream fabric S 73 and 74) and white silk screened letters 18 inches high. It was also decided that the metal backdrop behind the canopy would be painted the same color gray as the canopy's fabric. Elena Malunis moved to certify the plans as presented. was seconded by Lou Falasca and was passed unamiously. BROSTOFF CADILLAC. Motion 358 N. Broadway. North Tarrytown. New York This was a continuation of last month's hearing. Mr. John Fitzgerald, General Manager, for Brostoff Cadillac appeared before the board and stated that all the neon signs on the front of the building were gone, and all non-conforming signs 6 �Page ^ were down. He asked for temporary approval for a 30' wide sign with 18" inch high white silk screening lettering be allowed to indicate that the dealership was now known as Brostoff Cadillac. He also stated that he would be before the Board regarding planned renovations of the agency once the lease expired at the Deli located on the property. Frank Arvan made a motion to certify the plans on the condition that the lettering be 18" high (as shown) , that the two product signs in the windows be removed, and the northern free standing sign be removed. It was also requested that the "for sale signs" on the car windows and windshields be eliminated. Temporary approval to be given for one year from this date. Motion was seconded by Lou Falasca. Motion passed unamiously. IN THE MATTER OF THOMAS D. FINN, MILLARD AVENUE. NORTH TARRYTOWN. NEW YORK This was a continuation of last month's hearing. A motion to certify the plans on the addition as shown was made by Frank Arvan, seconded by Elena Malunis. IN THE MATTER OF UNCLE JERRY'S DELI. North Broadway, North Tarrvtown. N. Y. Donal Walsh, attorney for the project, appeared before the Board for a preliminary discussion regarding the proposed restaurant and new BP gas station slated for the old Headless Horseman Garage. He asked the board to consider what type of canopies should go over the pumps, the signage, and where the product signs should be located. He could then go back to BP and tell them what the Board requirements are. OLD BUSINESS IN THE MATTER OF FULGENCIA PENA, CORTLANDT ST., NORTH TARRYTOWN Bob Barstow stated that minutes of August 23, 1989 reflected that the awning drawing was approved: however, the signage was tabled. He presented the Board with drawing of the sign which indicated that the lettering would be 13" feet wide. Motion to certify the sign with the understanding that the lettering will go to the edges of the store front was made by Frank Arvan, and seconded by Lou Falsaca. Motion was passed unamiously.
