                  <text>A worksession of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on
Tuesday, September 12,2000 at 7:00 PM in Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy
Hollow, New York.
Present:

Mayor Philip Zegarelli
James J. Hart
Mario DiFelice
Robert Higle
Patricia M. Rodriguez
Donald Stever
Richard Zieja Trustees

Also Present: Dwight H. Douglas, Village Administrator
Barbara Napoli, Village Treasurer
Edward Lammers, Village Attorney's Office
Chris Zebicoff, Village Attorney's Office
At 7:05 p.m. Deputy Mayor DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Zieja, moved that the Board of
Trustees adjourn the meeting and enter into executive session for the purpose of reviewing ongoing
litigation. The motion carried unanimously.
At 7:30 p.m. the executive session concluded and the Trustee worksession resumed.
At 8:38 p.m. Mayor Zegarelli called a special meeting of the Trustees to order.
Trustee Higle, seconded by Trustee Rodriguez then moved the attached resolution to fill
the intermediate clerk position. On the motion, Deputy Mayor DiFelice indicated he would cast a
negative vote due to the presence of excessive part-time staff. The motion carried 6-1.

Voting in negative: Trustee DiFelice
Trustee Stever, seconded by Trustee Hart moved the attached resolution filling a
temporary laborer position. The motion carried unanimously.
Trustee Higle seconded by Trustee Hart then moved the meeting be adjourned. The
motion carried unanimously. The meeting ended at 8:55 p.m..

Be it resolved that the Board of Trustees does hereby approve the appointment of
Barbara Diorio, 617 Union Avenue, Peekskill, New York to the position of
Intermediate Clerk from eligible list #97-067, certification #T304-00 at an annual
salary of $29,000.00 effective September 25, 2000.

Said appointment is subject to a twelve to twenty-six week probationary period and
to the approval of Westchester County Civil Service.

temporary part-time laborer in the Public Works Department at a salary of $15.00
per hour. Said appointment is subject to a twelve to twenty-six week probationary
period is subject to the approval of Westchester County Civil Service.
