Minutes of the Board of Trustees
Village of Sleepy Hollow
A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on
Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. in Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy
Hollow, New York.

Jerome Fine, Village Engineer
David Smith, Planning Consultant
Jimmy Warren, Police Chief
At 7:03 p.m. Mayor Zegarelli called the work session to order to review and discuss
agenda items.
At 9:50 p.m. Mayor Zegarelli called a special meeting of the Board of Trustees to order
to consider the following matters:
Resolution #1 Mayor Zegarelli announced the appointment ofJoan Waters of 3 Pleasant
St., Sleepy Hollow as Acting Village Justice for the unexpired term ending 4/1/2001.
Deputy Mayor DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Hart moved ratification of the Mayor's
appointment. The motion carried unanimously.
Resolution #2 - Mayor Zegarelli appointed Bill Herlihy, with a place of business at 140
New Broadway, Sleepy Hollow as plumbing inspector for the unexpired term ofUgo
Checci to commence immediately, noting the recent grave illness of Mr. Checci. Deputy
Mayor DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Zieja moved ratification of the Mayor's
appointment. The motion carried unanimously.
Resolution. #5 - Mayor Zegarelli declared all positions on the Sleepy Hollow (formerly
North Tarrytown) Parking Authority vacant, noting the need to re-organize the authority
pursuant to its new legislative status. Trustee Higle, seconded by Trustee Hart moved to
confirm the Mayor's action. The motion carried unanimously.

At 9: 55 p.m. on a motion of Trustee Higle, seconded by Trustee Hart, passed
unanimously the Trustees entered into executive session for the purpose of reviewing
ongoing and pending litigation, as well as to discuss personnel issues. At 10:10 p.m. the
Trustees came out of executive session and the meeting was adjourned.
