Present: Frank Arvan, Chairman Lou Falasca Annegret Rice Robert Barstow Absent: Elena Malunis Also Present: James Margotta, Building Inspector Francesca Lorenz, Recording Secretary IN THE MATTER OF THERESE M. VALVANO. 52 HEMLOCK DRIVE, NO. TARRYTOWN. NEW YORK This is a continuation from last month's hearing. Applicant was advised to submit revised drawing- of a proposed new home. New drawings contained suggestions made by Board ie frieze board and dental molding around the building, larger windows and panels on garage door. Lou Falasca moved to approve revised plans. Motion was seconded by Robert Barstow. Motion passed unanimously. IN THE MATTER OF JULIE MIRSBERGER. 137 VALLEY ST.. NO. TARRYTOWN. N. Y. (C & M SIGN CO.) Mr. Margotta stated that this item should not have appeared on the agenda as it was decided to approve the sign request at last month's meeting. IN THE MATTER OF JOHN JANDRUCKO. 192 CORTLANDT ST. NO. TARRYTOWN. N. Y. Applicant appeared before the Board asking approval for a new sign design. New sign will be 10 ft. long, 2 ft. high with a white background and 15 inch high black letters, centered over door. Mr. Falasca moved to approve the sign request. Motion was seconded by Annegret Rice. Motion passed unanimously. IN THE MATTER OF TAPPAN CAR WASH. 205 VALLEY ST. NO. TARRYTOWN. N. Y. Mr. Bueti, owner of the Tappan Car Wash, appeared before the board to ask for suggestions regarding signage. The Board discussed the free standing sign that currently exists at the car wash and stated that this has become a landmark in the Village, and they would consider granting a variance for a free standing sign, if no other signs were put up. It was also discussed that 38 �Page the Board has already given its approval for a sign over the garage door. It was suggested that each member of the board go to the car wash and look at the sign in question. Matter was tabled until the January meeting. IN THE MATTER OF JAMES T. CARLIN. JR. 36 PALMER AVENUE. NO. TARRYTOWN. N. Y. This is a request for approval of the design for a new addition. Mr. Lou Falasca excused himself from the discussion. After much discussion, a motion to disapprove the plans was made by Mr. Robert Barstow and seconded by Annegret Rice. Item tabled until next month. IN THE MATTER OF CHARLES SHIBETTI. 144 NEW BROADWAY. NO. TARRYTOWN. N.Y. This is a continuation from last month's hearing regarding terations and an added kitchen. al- Mr. Shibetti presented new blueprints with greater detail as requested by the Board. A move to approve the revised plans with contingency that there will be five quarter trim all around the windows was made by Robert Barstow. Motion was seconded by Annegret Rice. Motion passed unanimously. APPROVAL OF MINUTES A motion to approve the minutes of the October 24,1990 meeting with corrections was made by Lou Falasca and seconded by Robert Barstow. Corrections: Under S. Amenta, sign will be mounted without lighting. Under C & M Sign, request for signage was granted however, without phone numbers. A move to approve the minutes of September 12, 1990 with corrections was made by Annegret Rice. Motion was seconded by Lou Falasca. Being no further business, meeting was adjourned 9:35 PM.
