Y. Present: Robert Barstow, Acting Chairman Lou Falasca Annegret Rice Elena Malunis Also Present: Absent: James Margotta, Bldg. Inspector Francesca Lorenz, Recording Secretary Frank Arvan Mr. Barstow started the meeting at 8:05 PM. Lou Falasca made a motion to approve the minutes of February 28, 1990. Elena Malunis seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously IN THE MATTER OF MAMIE BOYD. 58 HUDSON STREET. NORTH TARRYTOWN. NEW YORK Mr. Julius Twine, Architect for the project appeared before the Board and stated he neglected to bring photographs as reguired by Code. The Board allowed him to leave the meeting to collect the photographs. In the meantime other matters were heard, however, when he returned he stated he could not find them. Matter was tabled until next month. IN THE MATTER OF ADMAC REALTY. 32-34 BEEKMAN AVENUE. NORTH TARRYTOWN, N. Y. Mr. Rodriguez, owner of the Village Wine and Spirits stated that the signs for both the Wine and Spirits shop and Video Visions have been before the ARB a number of times, and he would like to resolve whatever problems they have with the signs. According to the minutes, the six inch high lettering in neon was approved, however, the Board felt both signs could be more creative. A discussion followed amongst the members of the Board offering different suggestions. It was decided to have both signs done in blue neon with 6" lettering. A motion to approve both signs was made by Lou Falasca and seconded by Annegret Rice. Motion passed unanimously. IN THE MATTER OF THE FRIEDNER PROPERTY. 28 LAKEVIEW AVENUE. NORTH TARRYTOWN.N. Y. Mr. Julius Twine, architect, appeared before the board with plans for a detached garage on the property. Mr. Twine presented samples of cedar siding which would be the same color of the house on the property. 18 �Page Motion to certify the plans for the detached garage was made by Elena Malunis, seconded by Lou Falasca. Motion passed unanimously. IN THE MATTER OF THE AMERCIAN FRENCH CLUB. 178 BEEKMAN AVENUE. NORTH TARRYTOWN. N. Y. Mr. Ed Belliveau appeared before the Board and presented samples of awning material. The building is brick and the awning would be a brick color with 4 inch white lettering and would go over the door of the Club. Motion to certify sample and color of the awning was made by Lou Falasca and seconded by Elena Malunis. Motion passed unanimously. IN THE MATTER OF THE RODRIGUEZ BUILDING. CLINTON STREET. NORTH TARRYTOWN. N. Y. Mr. Ron Turnquist appeared before the Board and gave a brief history of the project. He appeared once before this Board and was given approval for modular units, however, it has been decided by the property owner to use concrete block type 4 construction. The design has been dropped to one story and the 4 end units will be designated for the handicapped. Building will be beige stucco and the roof will have asphalt shingles. Motion to certify plans was made by Elena Malunis and seconded by Lou Falasca. Motion passed unanimously. IN THE MATTER OF THE VAN TASSEL APARTMENT. 95 BEEKMAN AVENUE. NORTH TARRYTOWN. N. Y. Mr. Ron Turnquist, architect, presented the board with plans for the renovation of the exterior of the Van Tassel apartment building where the commercial stores are located. The and and the the plans call for the rehabilitation of some of the store fronts doors of the building. Canopies would have a staggered line the choice of color would be blue with white lettering for stores names. Twenty five new light fixtures are planned for exterior of the building, (copy of design attached) Elena Malunis made a motion to certify plans as presented with the blue colored awnings. Lou Falasca seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
