Minutes of the Board of Trustees
Village of Sleepy Hollow
A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on
Tuesday, July 8th, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. in the boardroom at Village Hall, 28 Beekman
Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

At 8:32 p.m. Mayor Zegarelli called the board into special session to order to act on the
attached resolutions, which were duly acted on as noted.
At 8:42 p.m. On a motion of Trustee DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Hart, and carried
urianirnously, the special meeting of the Board of Trustees was adjourned. The board
then entered into executive session to review personnel matters and pending litigation.
No action was taken by the board during this session which concluded at 9:30 p.m.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Authorizing the Hiring of Seasonal Personnel
For Rev. John Sykes Park &amp; Kingsland Point Park
BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow hereby
authorize the hiring of seasonal personnel as listed on the attached schedule to work at
Rev. John Sykes Park and Kingsland Point Park for a period of nine (9) weeks beginning
June 30, 2003 and ending on September 2/ 2003.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Confirming Mayor's Approval for
Briggsville Neighborhood Association Parade
WHEREAS, the Briggsville Neighborhood Association requested approval to hold its annual
July 4 th bicycle parade on Friday, July 4, 2003, to begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at
approximately 10:30 a.m.; and
WHEREAS, the police will need block off the east end of North Street and Webber Avenue
from North Street to the intersection with Sleepy Hollow Road, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor approved said event by letter on June 20, 2003 to Maureen Petry to be
confirmed at the July 8, 2003 Board Meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Village Board herein confirms the actions of
the Mayor to allow the Briggsville Neighborhood Association to hoW its annual July 4 th bicyde
parade on Friday, July 4, 2003, to begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at approximately 10:30 a.m.
and allow the police to block off the east end of North Street and Webber Avenue from North
Street to the intersection with Sleepy Hollow Road.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Appointing Eldryk Ebel to Police Officer Position

I

BE n RESOLVED that Eldryk Ebel of 30 Newport Road, Yonkers, New York is hereby
appointed to the position of Police Officer, Grade 1, at an annual salary of $61,854.00
effective July 8, 2003. Said candidate has successfully passed the physical and
psychological examination required for the position. Said appointment is subject to a
probationary period of twelve (12) months from the effective date of this appointment
and is subject to the approval of the Westchester County Department of Human
Resources.
