Minutes of the Board of Trustees
Village of Sleepy Hollow
A work session of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on
Tuesday, October 7th, 2003 at 7:00 P.M. in the boardroom at Village Hall, 28 Beekman
Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
Present:

At 7:00 p.m. Mayor Zegarelli called the meeting to order and into executive session for
the purpose of reviewing the proposed MEU labor contract and to discuss pending
litigation. At 7:30 p.m. without having taken any action the board came out of executive
session and commenced review of the regular work session items.
At 8:13 p.m. on a motion of Trustee DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Spota, the board was
called into special session in order to act on the attached resolutions. The resolutions
were duly acted on as noted.
At 8:20 p.m. on a motion of Trustee DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Grala, and carried
unanimously, the special meeting of the Board of Trustees was adjourned and the work
session continued.
At 8:37 p.m. on a motion of Trustee DiFelice, seconded by Trustee Spota and carried
unanimously, the meeting was adjourned.

Budget herein approves the following annual salary increase for Judge Joan Waters

retention of David Garcia, Esq. as Village Prosecutor for the year commencing June 1,
2003 for the annual amount of $20,000 and authorizes the Mayor to execute the
retainer agreement on behalf of the Village.

appointment of Caroline Mejas, 144 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New York as
part-time Parking Enforcement Officer effective October 4,2003 at an hourly rate

Said appointment is subject to the approval of the Westchester County Department
of Human Resources and a probationary period of twelve to fifty-two weeks.
