Deputy Mayor DiFelice called the meeting to order with a prayer and pledge to the
flag. '
Approval of Minutes
Trustee Spota moved, seconded by Trustee Zieja to approve the minutes of July 13,
2004, motion carried unanimously.
Trustee Zieja moved, seconded by Trustee Spota to approve the minutes of July 20,
2004, motion carried unanimously.
Public Hearings
Trustee Murray read the attached public hearing notice regarding Tree Ordinance
modifications.
Bob Carpenter, Chairman of the Tree Commission had many questions and
reservations regarding some of the changes. He commented that the Tree
Commission should have been notified regarding the proposed changes before
calling for the public hearing.
Mario Belanich asked where the 6"diameter of the tree was measured from.
Bob Carpenter commented the measurement is taken roughly around chest high.
Discussion ensued.
There being no further comments, Trustee Spota moved, seconded by Trustee
Murray to continue the public hearing at the September 21,2004 meeting, motion
carried.
Trustee Spota read the attached public hearing notice regarding dedication of
Westview Circle.
John Dolan, Project Director, gave an update on the status of the project and Sean
McCarthy, our Village Architect, gave a brief overview.
There being no further comments, Trustee Zieja moved, seconded by Trustee Spota
to Close the public hearing, motion carried.

Approval of Warrants
Trustee Zieja moved, seconded by Trustee Spota to approve the warrant and
authorize the Acting Village Treasurer to pay the bills, subject to review, signature
and approval of the Mayor and Acting Treasurer, motion carried unanimously.

Total of the General fund isS267,199.22, total of Water &amp; Sewer fund is 552,291.37,
total of the Parking Authority is $3,310.00, total of Capital fund is S133,490.73.
Public Comments

Mario Belanich had questions regarding personnel resolutions adopted at the
August 10,h work-session.
He also asked about the status of the call boxes. The Administrator commented that
he will check with the Police Chief when he returns.
Trustee Reports
Trustee Spota reported that Officer D'Alessandro has become a certified Fire Arms
Instructor.
Officer Hennessey has completed a Breath Analyzing Course.
Chief Warren has received a certificate in micro soft excel after completion of the
course.
Trustees Zieja and Murray had no reports.
Deputy Mayor DiFelice read the attached Public Works Report.
Administrator's Report
Several of the parking meters along Beekman Avenue and Valley Street have been
converted to take nickels, dimes and quarters as a test.
Storm sewer and water main will soon be installed on Lawrence Avenue. We are
waiting for permit from the state to go out onto route 9 and once we receive these,
the Public Works Department will be able to start.
A grant has been submitted to the DEC for the beautification of route 9.
Resolutions-Attached
Communications. Petitions and Requests
Village Clerk read correspondence from Pat Scova, Town Clerk, requesting
permission to use Sleepy Hollow Village Hall for voter registration on Tuesday,
September 28 th from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Saturday, October 9 th from 12:00 pm
to 7:00 pm. Trustee Zieja moved, seconded by Trustee Spota to approve this
request, motion carried.
There being no further business, Trustee Spota moved, seconded by Trustee
Murray to adjourn the meeting, carried.

APPROVE GREAT TZ BIKE TOUR FOR MS
WHEREAS, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society - Southern New York Chapter has informed
the Village of Sleepy Hollow that the Great TZ Bike Tour for MS is scheduled for Sunday,
October 3, 2004, and that part of the route will be through our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and Board of Trustees hereby approves
the use of Village streets by the bicyclists in the Great TZ Bike Tour for MS on Sunday,
October 3, 2004, and directs the Sleepy Hollow Police Department and Sleepy Hollow
Department of Public Works to provide appropriate support in this worthy event.

PAINTING TRAFFIC LINES AND PARKING SPACE LINES.
WE ARE INSTALLING PAVING STONES AT THE DOUGLAS PARK GATE.

GARBAGE PICK UP IS AS FOLLOWS:
