A Regular meeting of the Architectual Review Board was held on
Thursday, February 28, 1991 at 8:00 PM in Village Hall, No. Tarry town, Mew York.
PRESENT:

This is a request for a sign approval.
Mr. Falasca made a motion to deny the request because the
proposed sign did not meet the Village Sign Ordinance. Robert
Barstow seconded the motion. Motion carried.
He was advised by the Board to submit a new design, however, applicant indicated he may go without a sign over his business.
IN THE MATTER OF AUTO WORKS OF THE TARRYTOWNS. INC. 151 CORTLANDT
ST.. NO. TARRYTOWN. N.Y.
This is a sign application.
The applicant submitted pictures of the sign and the building at
151 Cortlandt St. The sign is made of wood, and is already in
place. The letters are 18" high, vinyl letters.
Mr. Barstow suggested giving temporary approval for the sign.
Ms. Rice suggested March 1st, 1992 as the deadline for the temporary approval, and a new application for sign approval must be
submitted at that time. Mr. Barstow put his suggestion into a
motion, and motion was seconded by Lou Falasca.
Motion carried.
At this point, Mr. Barstow placed on the table the matter of
James T. Carl in, 36 Palmer Avenue, No. Tarry town. This, is a continuation of a hearing held in November of 1990. Mr. Barstow
presented revised drawings of an addition to the side and rear of

the present structure. Mr. Barstow explained the concept of the
new plans and stated that the applicants would gain 700 to 800
square feet of living space.
Mr. Falasca moved to approve the drawings, motion was seconded by
Annegret Rice. Motion carried.
A brief business meeting was held by Chairman Arvan to discuss
potential candidates as members of the Architectial Review Board.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:50 PM.
