A Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow was held on
Wednesday March 16,2005 at 7 pm in Village Hall, 28 Beekman Avenue, Sleepy Hollow, New
York for the purpose of certifying the results of the Village Election held on Tuesday, March
15, 2005.
Present: Mayor Philip Zegarelli

Mayor Zegarelli called the meeting to order with a prayer and pledge to the flag.
Mayor Zegarelli asked that everyone remain standing for a moment of silence for Anthony
Lombardi, a former employee and Jack Murphy who was very active in many village
programs both in Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow.
Trustee DiFelice moved, seconded by Trustee Spota to accept the results of the Village Election
held on March 15,2005, motion carried unanimously.
Mayor Zegarelli commented that the swearing in of the newly elected officials will take place
at the Re-Organization meeting on April 4,2005 at 7 pm.
There being no further business, Trustee Spota moved, seconded by Trustee Capossela to
adjourn this special meeting, carried.

Mayor Zegarelli called the work session to order at 7:10 pm.
The Mayor commented that this is a short work session to approve the warrants and to
approve two resolutions.
Approval of Warrants
Trustee Capossela moved to approve the warrants of March 7, 2005 and March 8,2005 subject
to the review, approval and signatures of the Mayor and the Village Treasurer, seconded by
Trustee Grala, and carried unanimously.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Accepting Resignation of P.O. Angelo Guzzo
WHEREAS, Police Officer Angelo Guzzo ("Guzzo") was employed as a police officer in
the Village of Sleepy Hollow Police Department ("Sleepy Hollow"), and
WHEREAS, Guzzo, by letter dated February 23, 2005, submitted his resignation from
Sleepy Hollow to Police Chief Jimmy Warren ("Warren"), and
WHEREAS, such resignation must be formally accepted by the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Board of Trustees ("Village"), as of February 23, 2005, and
WHEREAS, the Village, by resolution number 07/138/03 dated July 15, 2003, adopted
a policy for employee termination and rehire ("Policy"), and
WHEREAS, this policy was effective and applies to Guzzo and is a term and condition
of his resignation.
NOW, THEREFORE/BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village accepts the resignation of
Guzzo, dated February 23, 2005 and effective February 27, 2005, and finds that the
termination/rehire policy of July 15, 2003 applies, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of the policy be forwarded to Guzzo and a
copy be placed in his personnel record with proof of service.

Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Sleepy Hollow
Confirming Action of Mayor to Allow Handicap Parking Space
WHEREAS, Lesa Yesko, by letter received in Mayor's Office on February 18, 2005,
requested a handicap parking space be placed temporarily in the area of 15 Lawrence
Avenue because of her treatment for cancer; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has granted the request for a handicap parking space in the
area of 15 Lawrence Avenue, which action is to be confirmed by the Board of Trustees.
BE IT RESOLVED that the action of the Mayor to grant the request for a handicap
parking space in the area of 15 Lawrence Avenue is hereby confirmed and that all rules
and regulations pertaining to the use of a handicap parking space are to be followed.
