PRESENT: Frank Arvan, Chairman Louis Falasca Brian Slavin Marion Rielly Also Present: James Margotta, Building Inspector Francesca Lorenz, Recording Secretary Mr. Arvan opened the meeting at 8:05, and welcomed two new members to the Board, Mr. Slavin and Ms. Rielly. Two items on this month's agenda were tabled. Ruscan Tavern, Inc. Accurate Auto, and IN THE MATTER OF L. J. OROFINO MOTORS. 347 NO. BRAODWAY. NO. TARRYTOWN. NEW YORK This is a request for approval for three signs. Mr. Barstow moved to deny request. Motion was seconded by Lou Falasca. Motion carried. A brief discussion ensued regarding the previous owner's attempts to gain sign approval for the existing pedestal sign located on the property. The previous owner was requested to lower sign, use raised letters and exterior lighting. Lous Falasca moved to allow the new owners a certain amount of time to come back to the board with a proposal for a permanent sign design. Motion was seconded by Brian Slavin. Motion passed. Mr. Falasca then moved to leave the existing sign for 90 days and remove the permanent frame. Motion was seconded by Ms. Reilly. Motion carried. Mr. Slavin moved to approve second sign request stating it was temporary approval to allow the sign on the building. Mr. Falasca seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mr. Barstow moved to approve the new ownership sign on a temporary basis. The temporary sign would be white with black letters. The letters would be the same size as the building sign. Dr. Green appeared before the Board and gave some background on the remodeling of the Sleepy Hollow Animal Hospital and the problems encountered with the facade. Mr. Barstow moved to approve the work being done on the facade and give a time extension till June for the rest of work to be finished. Lou Falasca seconded motion. Motion carried. IN THE MATTER OF DONALD AND MARGOT STEVER. 157 MILLARD AVENUE. NO. TARRYTOWN. N.Y. This is a reguest for new windows and full screened porch. Robert Barstow moved to disapprove design. Brian Slavin seconded the motion. A vote was taken, three in favor of disapproval, one nay. Mr. Falasca asked if the proposal could be changed to a stucco design following the details of the rest of the house. Since the applicant was not present to answer any questions by the Board, it was decided to table the matter until the next meeting. IN THE MATTER OF MITCHELL ZREIK. 10 LAWRENCE AVENIE. NO. TARRYTOWN. N. Y. The is a request for 36 new windows and vinyl siding. Brian Slavin moved to approve the request, Marion Reilly seconded the motion. Motion carried. New vinyl siding will be gray, with white trim and white windows. IN THE MATTER OF BRIAN'S JEWELERY. 133C BEEKMAN AVENUE. NO. TARRYTOWN. N. Y. Mr. Falasca moved to disapprove the sign design due to the vinyl letters. Mr. Slaving seconded the motion. Motion carried. After a discussion regarding the type of lettering required by the sign code, Mr. Falasca moved to approve the sign with raised 3-D letters. Ms. Reilly seconded the motion. Motion carried. The sign design will have to be presented before the Board and must indicate that the vinyl flat letter have been removed and were replaced with 3-D 8" raised letters. IN THE MATTER OF JOHN REOUEISO. 56 DEPYESTER STREET. NO. TARRYTOWN. NEW YORK Mr. Requeiso wishes to stucco the exterior of his house. Mr. Barstow moved to approve the request, however, there was no second. Matter was tabled. When he plans to start the actual work, he was advised to come before the Board again. 46 �Page The approval of the February minutes was table until all had time to review them.
